Linda Hunt Bell 73, of Lumberton, NC was born in Dillon, SC on April 1, 1951, transitioned to her heavenly home on Friday May 24, 2024.


Mrs. Bell was raised in Rowland NC being born the first of six siblings whom she loved and adored as her own. She was married to Jerry Bell where they shared a life in Fayetteville for many years having three more children completing her fabulous 4 babies.


Eventually making her way to Lumberton where she spent her remaining years. Losing her son in May of 1997 to a lifelong battle fighting cystic fibrosis and enduring much pain and suffering along the way she never lost her smile of heart full of Love.


She is preceded in death by her parents; Hubert and Maydell Cook Hunt of Rowland, NC, her son (little) Jerry Bell Jr. Of Fayetteville NC. Her only brother Glendale Hubert Hunt, US Army Veteran of Mathews, NC. A niece whom she adored, Atonya Hunt and a great Nephew (lil) Danny Hunt both of Lumberton, NC.
Mrs. Bell is survived by her once husband of 24 yrs. and best friend Jerry Bell Sr. Of Fayetteville, NC. Her daughter Malinda Carter of Columbus, OH. Two Sons; Terry Bell of Lumberton, NC and Scotty Bell of Fayetteville, NC. Two daughters in love Kelly Bell and Jessica Bell, both of Fayetteville, NC. Eleven Grandchildren; Chanal LaCourse, Amber Locklear, Ariel Locklear and Tiffany Locklear all of Columbus, OH. Brandi Oxendine of Jacksonville, NC. Morgan Jones and Landon Jones both of Pembroke, NC, Bryson Towner of Benson, GA., Jordyn Bell, Ja’Bari Brunson and Julianna Brunson all of Fayetteville NC. Five Great Grandkids. Four sisters; Mrs. Lucy Hunt of Pembroke, NC, Ms. Sandra (Sam) Hunt of Lumberton, NC, Ms. Debra Hunt of Fayetteville, NC and Mrs. Tammy Pusey of Lexington, N.C.


Ms. Bell had a number of nieces and nephews, friends and family whom she loved more than anything. She held everyone close to her heart. If you knew her than you know she never met a stranger and would talk to anyone. Til the very end she had love in her heart and a smile on her face.
