Bessie Vasiliki ( Traganos) Lonero, of Somerville, passed away peacefully after a decline in health over the last year. She is survived by her cherished son Peter Lonero of Somerville, and her two adored granddaughters Jacquelyn and Jessica Munroe.


She was predeceased by her devoted husband, Salvatore (Jimmy) Lonero, and her loving daughter Deborah and her husband Michael Munroe of Malden, her siblings Chuck, George, and Angie Traganos, she will also be fondly remembered by her surviving siblings, Kathy, Barbara, and Paras who hold her memory fondly in their hearts, and several nieces and nephews.


An accomplished seamstress, Bessie dedicated many years of her life to working at Lewis Flag and Banner during her youth and later on. Before her retirement, she also worked alongside her brother at Wonder Corp. Bessie was known for her caring and loving nature, and her upbeat attitude that always cheered those around her. She was a true friend and a loving sibling who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.


Bessie's legacy of love, care, and positivity will continue to inspire her family and friends. Her passing leaves a void in our hearts, but her memory will live on through the lives she touched.
