Travis Heckman (SMILEY) Obituary

Travis Heckman (SMILEY) 39, of Spring Hill, Florida passed away unexpectedly on June 6, 2024 in Tampa, Florida.

Final arrangements by Downing Funeral home, 1214 Wendy Ct, Spring Hill, Florida 34607.  A celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday August 25th @ 2:30pm at Beacon Community Church located 9025 Star Trail, New Port Richey, Florida, 34654 with Pastor Pat Jones officiating.

Born in New Port Richey, Florida on October 17, 1984.  Travis attended school in Hernando County and received his GED in 2011.

He was a hard worker in the construction industry for many years.  Travis was most recently employed as a forklift operator at Ramos Granite & Marble in Tampa, Florida.

Travis loved his family and loved performing magic tricks, sleight of hand and juggling for the kids.  He was forever cracking jokes and laughing at them.  He stayed physically fit by running, working out, gymnastics and held a red belt in Tae Kwon Do.  He enjoyed traveling to new places and being amongst nature gave him peace.  He was a talented dancer and did so with so much joy.  He volunteered with West Hernando Jaycees and would always lend a helping hand with those in need.  He was a Christian and on his good days was called to preach God’s good word.

Travis is survived by his parents Terry and Deborah Heckman of Spring Hill, Florida.  His birth mother, Pamela Yons of Port Richey, Florida.  Five siblings, Dana Heckman of Port Richey, Florida.  Terry Heckman Jr. (Ashley) of Crossville, Tennessee.  Marti Rivera (Rick), Samantha Heckman, Daniel Heckman, all of Spring Hill, Florida.  All of whom loved him very much.

He is also survived by and much loved by his many nieces and nephews, Marissa, Owen, Amberlyn, Jacob, Adam, Liam, Alyssa, Ricky, Anthony and a shitload of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friend.

He was preceded in death by all his grandparents: Robert and Pearl Heckman, Clarence and Ethel DeValk, Susan Mordan and two uncles, Robert, Clifford Heckman.

We have all been blessed with so much love and great memories that we will cherish forever.  Gone but never forgotten. His stubborn but kind loving and generous spirit will shine brightly and forever in our hearts.  He will be dearly missed by all.
