Shannon Marie Trzcinski Obituary

Shannon Marie Trzcinski, age 53, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2024. Born on March 10, 1971, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Ron Cunningham and Linda (White) Peyton, Shannon was a beacon of light and love to all who knew her.

Raised in the warm communities of Lynchburg and Tullahoma, Tennessee, Shannon carried the spirit of Southern hospitality throughout her life. Her journey led her to Scott Trzcinski, her beloved husband of 26 years. Their paths crossed at Apostolic Christian Academy, where both served as dedicated educators, igniting a lifelong partnership.

Shannon’s love for music was undeniable. Her voice, accompanied by the strum of her guitar, was a source of comfort and joy to many. The beach was her sanctuary and held a special place in her heart. A devout follower of Jesus, Shannon’s commitment to teaching Bible studies was a testament to her unwavering faith and desire to share the light of the Lord with others.

An inspirational public speaker, Shannon’s vibrant personality could light up any room. Her positive outlook and happy demeanor were infectious, making every encounter with her an uplifting experience. She was the embodiment of encouragement, always seeking to elevate those around her. Shannon’s delightful sense of humor was contagious and made life’s most arduous moments bearable.

Family was the cornerstone of Shannon’s life. Her role as a mother was paramount, and she embraced it with every fiber of her being. Homeschooling her children was not just a choice but a calling, ensuring that her love and values were woven into the fabric of their lives.

She is survived by her husband, Scott; children, Ethan, Alyssa and Isaiah; mother, Linda Peyton; sisters, Leah (Burke) Skelton, and Yolanda (Kevin) Clark; brother, Chris (Chelsea) Peyton; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Shannon was preceded in death by her father, Ron Cunningham.

Family and friends may visit Thursday, June 13 from 4-8 pm at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave. The Funeral Service for Shannon will be Friday, June 14 at 11 am at First Apostolic Church. She will be laid to rest in Resurrection Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be given to Apostolic Christian Academy or will be gratefully accepted by the family for medical expenses.

Shannon’s legacy is one of love, faith, and joy. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us. As we say goodbye, we also say thank you—for the laughter, her unwavering faith, and her unconditional love.
