Elizabeth Carroll Obituary

Elizabeth “Liz” Nardone Carroll, 69, of Mansfield passed away peacefully at Massachusetts General Hospital on June 8, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.


Liz was born in Boston on July 10, 1954 to Guy J. and Serena Nardone. She was a graduate of Sharon High School, Class of 1972, and the Henry O. Peabody School.


Liz married her husband, Jonathan Carroll, at a beautiful ceremony in her family home in Sharon on Christmas Eve in 1979.

Liz was a talented floral designer for the family-owned business “Flowers by Nardone” in Mansfield for over twenty years. Later, she worked for Mansfield Public Schools and the Foxboro Regional Charter School, in a variety of capacities, where she touched the lives of so many students and families.


Beloved wife of Jonathan Carroll, Sr. Loving mother of Jonathan Carroll, Jr. and his wife Stephanie of Northbridge, Christopher Carroll and his wife Ashley of Foxboro, and Jessica and her wife Christine Schipilliti of Norton. Adored Nonna of Jocelyn, Andrew, and Patrick.


Liz loved her three sisters, Rose, Margaret, and Laurie Nardone of Traveler’s Rest, South Carolina. Even through distance, they remained close, spending countless hours on the phone and visiting each other whenever possible.

She was the cherished sister-in-law of Robert and his partner Evie Norton of Wildwood, Florida, Peter of Flagler Beach, Florida, and the late Thomas Carroll of Mashpee.


She loved sewing, gardening, and was an avid crafter. “Nonna” cherished hosting her family for all holidays and gatherings. Liz valued her family above all else and was passionate about creating family memories.
