John passed away peacefully at home with his family on June 9th,2024. He was born April 13, 1941 in Sharon,Pennsylvania. Son of the late James and Margaret McGarrity of Hubbard, OH.

John graduated from Youngstown State University with a degree in Business Management and Accounting.

He was a Navy Veteran serving aboard The USS Tortuga in San Diego, California. He was also a member of the American Legion and Elk's Club.

In 1980 he was named "Man of the Year" by the Franklin, PA Chamber of Commerce.

He leaves his wife Patricia, daughter Kelly Rodgers (Carnell), son Michael McGarrity (Teresa) and two granddaughters, Katie Rodgers and Ellie McGarrity, sister Mary Waite and brother Jim McGarrity and several nieces and nephews.
