Marjorie Lee Duke Obituary

It is with deep sadness the family of Marge Duke announce her passing.

Marge, age 89, of Belmont, MI left her earthly home surrounded by the love of her family and entered her Heavenly Home on the evening of Saturday, June 8, 2024.

Marge was an energetic and compassionate woman who, working in daycare for over 35 years, still loved and remembered those families. Marge teamed with her husband in loving others, visiting people in nursing homes and years of volunteering for the Salvation Army and the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans. She had been active in the church throughout her life; often witnessing to others about Jesus Christ.

Marge will be forever remembered and missed by her family: Debbie Duke, Denise and Randy Brown, Michael Duke, Bob and Tammy Duke; nine grandkids; seven great-grandkids; her brother Lee and many others.

Marge was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Herbert Duke; her parents, Arthur and Mary (Allen) Burgis; her daughter, Linda and her sister, Sharon Burgis.

Funeral services for Marge will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, June 14, 2024 at the Pederson Funeral Home, 127 N. Monroe St., Rockford, MI 49341.

Marge’s family will greet relatives and friends from 10:00 am until the time of services Friday at the funeral home.
