Sharon Rae Davison Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Sharon Rae Davison, age 80, on May 30, 2024. She was a cherished sister-in-law, aunt, friend, and neighbor. Sharon was born in Baldwin, Wisconsin on June 26, 1943, attended Baldwin area schools, and graduated from the University of Eau Claire with a Bachelor of Science degree.

Sharon worked as a Systems Analyst in a Milwaukee, Wisconsin hospital for many years. When she retired, she moved back to Minnesota to be closer to family.

Sharon had several lifelong interests and hobbies, including Minnesota Orchestra concerts, traveling, puzzles (sometimes two at a time!), watching and feeding the birds, art, walking, flowers. As an avid reader, she read the newspaper daily and loved mystery and suspense novels. Sharon also enjoyed engaging in conversations about world topics and global issues. She will be deeply missed but her spirit of strength, resilience, and independence will be remembered by us all.

Preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Esther Davison; brothers, LeRoy, Warren, Lee, Leo, Dennis, Stanley; and sisters, Lorna, Doreen, and Doris. Survived by a sister-in-law, many nieces and nephews, neighbors, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Second Harvest Heartland or Minnesota Public Radio.

The family of Sharon are especially grateful for the loving care and comfort from the staff at The Waters of Oakdale and AccentCare Fairview hospice.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024 from 3:30 – 5:30 pm, with a celebration of Sharon’s life at 4:30 pm. O’Halloran & Murphy, 8700 Valley Creek Road, Woodbury, MN
