Gloria Jean Kemp, 66, of Washington, formerly Canonsburg, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2024.

She was born February 11, 1958, in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late Kenneth and Mary Jemison Kemp.

Ms. Kemp attended the Canon-McMillan Schools and graduated from Fort Cherry High School in 1976.

She was employed by Boeing Corp., in Seattle, WA and the Volkswagen Corp. in New Stanton, PA.

Gloria was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Canonsburg.

She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, making rope bracelets, reading and doing puzzles of all kinds.

She is survived by her son, David M. Mitchell of Strabane; five grandchildren Lalay, Xavier, Cash, Paris and Alaya; three great grandchildten; two brothers, Kenneth Kemp (Judith) of Aspberg, Germany and Rev. Thomas Kemp (Sally) of Tacoma, WA; her twin sister, Mary Eileen Kemp of Canonsburg; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Deceased are a son, Frenchie Pollard; and a sister, Frances Ann Wagner.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 Thursday and from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the time of service Friday, June 14, 2024, in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342.
