Betty L. (Lau) Lau 95, November 9, 1928 – June 8, 2024. Betty L. Lau passed away Saturday June 8, 2024.  She was predeceased by her loving husband Elvin “Sonny” Lau who passed April 25, 2023; together they shared 37 years of marriage.

Born November 9, 1928, on a 14 acre farm in Thomasville, she was the daughter of the late Ira Henry Lau and Edna Arvilla (Eisenhower) Lau.  Betty loved growing up on the farm along with the fresh meat and vegetables that came with the way of life.

Betty was a graduate of East Berlin High School, class of 1947.  She enjoyed homemaking while she raised her three sons until they entered school.  Once they were off to school, Betty started a new career working at SKF for 26 years until she retired at age 65.  She enjoyed raising her three sons, cooking, walking and relaxing with music.

Betty is survived by three sons, Allen Alban and his wife Victoria of Hanover, Jim Alban and his wife Pamela of Chambersburg, and Bart Alban and the mother of their son, Tina Alban, of Bellevue, NE, two grandsons, Chad Alban and the mother of their sons, Brynne Alban, of Sinking Springs, PA and Bart Alban, Jr. and his wife Maria of Bellevue, NE, three great grandsons, Benjamin Alban and Carson Alban of Reading, and Alexander Alban of Bellevue, NE a great granddaughter, Penelope of Bellevue and brother-in-law, Wayne Lau and his wife Yvonne of New Oxford.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a grandson, Eric Alban, and three sisters; Dorothy, Mildred and Ruby. 

She wished to thank her wonderful friend Pamela Jenkins for her love, caring and prayers.

Per Betty’s wishes, she will be cremated and a graveside service will be held privately at the convenience of the immediate family.
