James Curtis DeRosette Obituary

James Curtis DeRosette, 46, of Clarksburg passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024. He was born on October 30, 1977, in Weston, WV, son of the late Curtis Ray and Delphia Lester DeRosette Marks.

James worked for Sturm Environmental Services in Anmoore. He enjoyed playing video games and playing his guitar. James was a wonderful gardener; he was able to grow anything and found joy and took pride in being able to start his flowers and vegetables from a seed.

James is survived by his companion of eleven years, Melanie Chipps and her son Darrin Chipps; one daughter, Sahara DeRosette of Denison, TX; sisters, Rhonda Marks of Weston, Brenda Wayne of Gassaway, WV, Linda Minor of Kenna, WV, and Sarah Richards of Doddridge County; several nieces and nephews; his cat, Logan, whom he loved dearly.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to his funeral care fund located on his memorial page.
