Ronald J. "Geezy" Brown, Jr Obituary

Ronald Brown Jr. affectionately known as "Geezy," was born in Newark, Delaware, on September 10, 1993, to the late Charline Giles and Ronald Brown Sr. He transitioned on June 5, 2024, at the age of 30.

Ronald 's life was marked by his unwavering love and dedication to his family and friends. He shared an unforgettable bond with his late mother, Charline, whose memory he cherished dearly throughout his life. Ronald found strength in their connection, and we take solace in knowing they are now reunited.

Ronald was a driven and determined young man. From a young age, Ronald exhibited a strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit. He was resourceful and determined, always finding opportunities to succeed. He excelled in basketball at the Browns Boys and Girls club, where his talent earned him numerous trophies. Ronald completed his education in the Delaware Public School system and later obtained multiple carpentry certifications, establishing himself in the construction industry. Ronald strived for success and left a mark on the world that only he could fill.

Ronald’s devoted grandmother, Shirley Giles played an integral part in his life, and he loved her tremendously. He was a protector of his family and always defending the honor of those he loved. He had a magnetic personality and leadership qualities endeared him to many. His infectious smile and warm demeanor transcended social boundaries, making him a beloved figure to his family and friends. He approached life with vigor and embraced challenges head-on, leaving a permanent mark wherever he went.

Ronald was a devoted father to his daughter Rylee Brown, whom he welcomed in June 2022. He cherished every moment with Rylee, showering her with love and pure adoration. Rylee was the center of his world, and he took immense pride in watching her grow. His commitment to fatherhood was a testament to his loving and nurturing spirit.

Ronald was a father, a leader, a dependable friend, a man of great pride and dignity and a serious trash talker. A true Virgo, Ronald was stubborn and always felt the need to be right. Ronald’s mantra was, “we doing it my way or we ain’t doing it!” Ronald took life by the horns, living life to the fullest on his terms. He had an uncanny ability to adapt in any environment through playful banter or friendly competition.

Ronald was preceded in death by his loving parents, Charline Giles and Ronald Brown Sr., his maternal grandfather Charles Forest, paternal grandparents Carrie Mae Brown and Alexander Brown, and Aunt Carmen Brown.

Ronald leaves behind a legacy of love through his daughter, Rylee Brown whom he shares with Lanee Ponzo; brothers, Kaseem Giles and Ronald “Fat Cat” Brown; only sister, Ronay Brown; maternal grandmother Shirley Giles; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Ronald was so many things to so many people and he will be deeply missed!
