Dorothy R. Francart Obituary

Dorothy R. Francart, age 96, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 9, 2024, at her residence with her loving family by her side. On January 24, 1928, Dorothy Rae was born in Neenah, Wisconsin to Cornelius and Leone (Weyenberg) Quinn. During high school, Dorothy met her sweetheart, James “Jim” Francart. Following graduation, Jim went into the military and Dorothy patiently awaited his return. They were united in marriage on July 5, 1947 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Neenah. Together they raised five children and cherished watching their families grow. Dorothy enjoyed volunteering her time as a Pink Lady at Theda Clark Hospital, delivering Meals on Wheels, and working with the greeting cards at St. Vincent DePaul’s in Neenah. She loved playing Dominoes with her group of friends and sewing with her Stitch and Sew group. Most of all, she was devoted to her husband, children, and home.

Dorothy will be greatly missed by her husband of almost 77 years, Jim; their children: Patty (Sam) Falzone, William (Shari) Francart, Don (Barbara) Francart, Mary Francart, Jean (Steve) Stuebs; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; 5 step-great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Robert Francart; as well as other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant sister, Noni Quinn; her brother, Jim (Sally) Quinn, and many in-laws.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Dorothy at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 14, 2024, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 620 Division Street, Neenah, Wisconsin 54956. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the hour of the Mass at the church. Interment will take place in St. Margaret Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Dorothy’s name to St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church.

Dorothy’s family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at ThedaCare at Home Hospice for the loving care given to her and her family during her final days as well as the staff at Kessler Fahrenkrug Funeral Home for their comforting kindness and compassionate care.
