Diane Marie Walsh Obituary

Diane Marie Walsh, a beloved resident of Ferndale, peacefully passed away surrounded by the love of her family on June 9, 2024. She was 75 years old. Diane was born on October 1, 1948, in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, the cherished daughter of Richard and Shirley (Shanahan) Petitpren.

On July 4, 1991, Diane was united in marriage to her beloved husband, Michael James Walsh, in Ferndale. Together, they shared a bond built on love and devotion that would endure the test of time.

Diane was a woman of many talents and passions. She found great joy in expressing her creativity through crafting, particularly in sewing, cross-stitch, and plastic canvas work. She brought beauty and warmth to every piece she created, leaving behind a legacy of her artistry.

A dedicated sports enthusiast, Diane was an avid supporter of her favorite teams, the Red Wings and Tigers. She found excitement and camaraderie in cheering them on, sharing the victories and defeats with fellow fans.

Above all, Diane's greatest source of happiness came from her family, especially her grandchildren. She found immense pride and joy in watching them grow and supporting them in all their endeavors. Family gatherings in her backyard were occasions she treasured, filled with laughter, good food, and cherished memories that will be forever held dear.

Diane will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt. Her selflessness, kindness, and unwavering love touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Though she may no longer be with us in person, her legacy of love will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Diane is survived by her loving husband, Mike; her devoted sons, Brian (Coriander) and Keith (Patricia) Pulliam; dear step-daughter, Michelle Cassidy; her adored grandchildren, Timothy (Sadie), Ryan (Adrianna), Castiel, Abigale, Ethan, and Wyatt Pulliam; her cherished great-grandchildren, Daxton, Rowan, and Vayda; her beloved parents, Shirley and the late Richard Petitpren; her dear sister, Debbie (Ed Thrash) Meunier; her brothers, Joseph (Susan Underwood) Petitpren, and the late David and Richard Petitpren Jr. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In Lieu of Flowers, Memorial Contributions made out to the family for a future donation will be appreciated.

Visitation will be held at Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Road, Fraser, Thursday from 4PM until the time of funeral at 7PM. Share memories and photo's with family at www.faulmannwalsh.com
