Donald Lee Richt Obituary

My beloved husband, TSGT Donald Lee Richt, was called home to be with his Lord on Monday, June 3, 2024. He was born in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania on June 21, 1950, to Marjorie Seibka and Howard Volz who preceded him in death. Don and I married in Abilene, Texas. When he proposed, he asked me to marry him every 10 years, so we have been married five times. He was an extremely loving husband and father to our son, Joe Richt, who is engaged to Revah Rice.

Don retired from the United States Air Force with his service years 1968-1989. He was a patriot and loved America. He would gladly defend American at any time. He was a lifetime member of our local VFW post 7835. He showed his love for me and our family every single day.

Don fulfilled all my wishes and childhood dreams of going to England and Scotland. He was the most amazing, awesome husband, and my soulmate for eternity.

Don was easy going and liked by everyone. He also retired from the Fort Worth Star Telegram. Then he worked at the Hilton Garden Inn for eight years.

We have four grandchildren, Joseph Richt, Jr., Kailee Heinger who has two daughters, Paisley and Lilianna, Nathan Richt, and Breanna and Owen who have a son, Desmond; nine great grandchildren.

Don is preceded in death by sister, Cindy Resse, survived by sister, Judy Campbell married to Bill Campbell with a daughter, Ali.

All my love sweetheart till I hold you in my arms again. Love and miss you, Mary Richt.

The visitation will be 6-8pm, Friday, June 14, 2024, at Wiley Funeral Home; Service 11am, Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Wiley Funeral Home. Burial at Holly Hills Memorial Park in Granbury, Texas.
