Randall Ellis Green Obituary

With heavy hearts and profound sadness yet filled with gratitude for a life well-lived, we announce the passing of Randall Ellis Green. Born on July 13, 1948, in Atlanta, GA, Randy touched the lives of many with his warm personality and charming sense of humor.

Randy was blessed with a beautiful family, leaving behind four children: Johnny Haynes, Renee & Steve Souther, Jill Green, Randy & Lauren Green, twelve grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren and more. Randy shared 40 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Pat, and found love once again with his fiancée, Tammy Carnes, with whom he joyfully spent the last eight years of his life. He is survived by his loving sister, Jo Anne Dooley, other nieces and nephews, and other extended family.

Randy's allegiance to the Lord led him to raise his family as second to none, finding immense joy in spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Being raised in the family-owned business of Dixie Music for over 70 years brought him a deep appreciation of oldies' music. This, combined with his passion for the service unto the Lord, he also enjoyed a love for fishing, lounging in his favorite chair with a bag of potato chips, ice cream, chocolate milk, Chick-fil-A unsweet tea, and his favorite pillow added color to his days. His life was also filled with memories of driving for hours, reminiscing about old times, and enjoying other scenery as he went. Cherokee, one of his favorite spots for playing Texas hold um and blackjack, gave him his sense of adventure, challenging the odds, and he was very good at it! He also shared the thrill of sports betting with his son Randy and grandson Jaron.

Randy's humor and mischievous spirit made him a beloved prankster among his friends and family, creating laughter and joy wherever he went. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, laughter, and resilience will continue to inspire all who know him.

Randy was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patricia Green; son, Joshua Green; and parents, Robert and Verna Green
