April Gem Cline, 57, of Olney, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at her home.


April was born June 4, 1967 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, the daughter of James and Betty (Flanagan) Brenton. She married Alex Cline on April 23, 1994 in Irvington, Illinois, and he survives.


April had a huge heart and enjoyed working with children. She liked being a positive influence and making sure that they were cared for. Anybody who knows April knows that she is a huge fan of the St. Louis Blues hockey team and enjoyed going to the games. She also loved flower gardening, especially tulips and roses, spending time outside, and going for walks every evening with family. Above all else April loved being around her children, Chris and Téa, they were her everything. She took pride in knowing that she had accomplished her goal of raising two wonderful children.


April is survived by her husband of 30 years, Alex Cline of Olney; son, Chris Cline of Olney; daughter, Téa Cline of Olney; father, James Brenton of Centralia, IL; sister, Gena (Kevin) Branson of Mt. Vernon, IL.


She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Brenton.


A funeral service will be held at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney, with a visitation one hour before service time at the funeral home.
