Freda M. Kocher, 94, a resident of Scriba peacefully passed away on June 9, 2024.

Born in England, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Gladys (Quantrill) Warrington and graduated from schools in England. She emigrated to the US in 1947 to marry her sweetheart, Donald, who she met while he was stationed near her home city during WW II.

Freda was most recently employed with Cooperative Extension in Oswego County and previously was the church secretary for the Trinity United Methodist Church.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and an acting member of the Oswego Players. She loved traveling, enjoyed reading, her cats and anything British.

Surviving are two sons, Brian (Margaret Miner) Kocher of Scriba, and Brad (Michele) Kocher of Scriba, two grandchildren, Erika Kocher and Troy Kocher, one great grandchild (Evie Hayes Kocher) as well as nieces and nephews living in England.

She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Kocher in 1999.

Funeral services are private and at the convenience of the family.

There are no calling hours.

In memoriam, donations can be made to the Oswego County Humane Society.
