Terry Lynn Fortune Obituary

Terry Lynn Fortune, born on December 2, 1965, in McFarland, California, to Allen and Carol Fortune, passed away on May 22, 2024, in Oklahoma City at the age of 58.

Terry's early education was at Shields Heights Elementary, followed by Culbertson and South East High School, before he proudly earned his GED. He married the love of his life, Amy, on February 14, 2015, and they made their home in Norman, Oklahoma. A fervent OU fan, Terry's dedication to his team was unwavering.

Professionally, Terry worked as a Machine Operator at CFS Brands for a decade, from 2014 to 2024. His commitment to his work was evident and respected by all who knew him.

One of Terry's proudest accomplishments was his journey to sobriety. Celebrating 14 years of sobriety on May 4, 2024, he provided support and counsel to many others on their own journeys, embodying hope and resilience.

Terry's passions were many and varied. He cherished his big red truck, Harley Davidson motorcycle, and wheelers. He loved traveling to new places, cooking, BBQing, and smoking brisket. Simple joys included watching his favorite TV shows, snacking, taking selfies, and making funny videos. His ability to make others laugh was a cherished trait, but above all, his greatest joy was spending time with his family, whom he adored.

Terry is survived by his beloved wife Amy Fortune; his two older brothers, Curtis Fortune and Billy Fortune; his older sister, Karen Fortune and younger step sister, Stella Runkles; his 2 sons, Terry Fortune II and Brandon Fortune; his 3 daughters, Amber, Alyssa, and Aliyah; and twelve grandchildren (five boys and seven girls). He also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Allen Fortune; his mother, Carol Fortune; and his oldest sister, Bobbie Fortune Richards.

Terry's life was a testament to love, dedication, and resilience. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
