Forrest L. Wright was born July 28, 1985, in Munster, Indiana. He attended Tradewinds and East Chicago public schools

He enjoyed watching all sports, laughing and joking with family, as well as the outdoors, and listening to music.

Forrest was known for his sense of style, always dressed to the T. He was also known to be somewhat of a prankster which earned him the nickname of "Billy".

Forrest passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, with his mother by his side.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Lawrence Bibbs; grandfather, Charlie Mitchell; favorite aunt and longtime caregiver, Lillie "Sheri" Austin.

To cherish his precious memories Forrest leaves his mother, Brigitte Mitchell of Gary, Indiana; brother, Jasper L. Hill of Indianapolis, Indiana; grandmother, Bennie M. Mitchell of Gary, Indiana; three aunts, Betty Hoggs of Hurtsboro, Alabama, Teresa Wells of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Rosalyn Mitchell of Gary, Indiana; special cousins/sisters, Cristalle Shelton-Daniel, LaNeisha Thornton, and Arianna Hutchins, all of Indianaoplis, Indiana; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. Several home healthcare nurses have been loving and supportive throughout the years.

Visitation Friday, June 14, 2024, 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. with Homegoing Services 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m. from Ridgelawn Funeral Home 4201 West Ridge Road Gary, Indiana 46408. Interment Fern Oaks Cemetery 1518 East Elm Street Griffith, Indiana 46319.
