Aida Rodriguez Obituary

Aida Rodriguez, of Danbury, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 8, 2024. She was born in El Seibo, Dominican Republic on May 12, 1926, daughter of the late Marcelino Rodriguez and Candelaria Guerrero. The eldest of her maternal siblings, Aida grew up in San Pedro de Macorís and moved to America in 1990.

She was a devoted mother who cherished her family. She loved to listen to music; Marco Antonio Solís was her favorite. She had a love of poetry and was gifted in reciting them. Her favorite treat was a box of Ferrero Rocher chocolates. She lived a long beautiful life, and we are honored to have known her; her memory lives on through all the moments we shared with her. We are grateful God gave her to us for 98 years, and now He has taken her home, to rest for eternity with Him.

She will be sadly missed by her eight children, Carlos Arredondo, Lenny Arredondo, Arturo Arredondo, Gregorio Arredondo (Onilfa), Oscar Arredondo (Socorro), Miguel Diaz (Vanessa), Orlando Diaz, and Omar Diaz (Brianda); her 21 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Friday, June 14th at 7:00pm.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening between 5:00 – 7:00pm.
