James A. "Jimmy" Sanders Obituary

Mr. James A. “Jimmy” Sanders, 78, passed away Monday (June 10, 2024) at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross following a short illness.


He was born in Patterson, GA to Mildred Griner. He was employed with Trailer Bridge as a truck driver for many years and also served in the United States Army.


In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Griffin Sanders and two siblings, Jesse King and Marie Davis.


He is survived by a daughter, Holly Sanders of Waycross; a son, Jimmy Sanders (wife Karen) of Dayton, OH; four grandchildren, Kelli Beavers (husband Ronald), Logan Sanders, Maddie Turner, and Justin Turner; one great granddaughter, Emma Beavers; and numerous nieces and nephews.


A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday (June 13, 2024) at High Bluff Cemetery. The family will begin receiving friends at the cemetery on Thursday at 10 o’clock.


In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to any Veterans Organization of your choice.
