Altamese Noisette Springfield was born in Jacksonville, Florida, the 6th of 11 children on May 4, 1934, to the late Frank and Eva Noisette. She confessed Christ at an early age of 8 years old at Mt. Ararat Baptist Church, singing in the choir and other committees in the church, winning souls to Christ in the Community. She received her education at Stanton High School. She later met and married Charlie Springfield Jr., in Jacksonville, Florida on November 2, 1956. From this union 2 sons was born, Charles Springfield (Sharon) and Glen Gary Springfield; and 4 daughters, Beverly J. Springfield, Angela Smith (Leroy), Janice Delores Robinson, and Laquanda D. Rehkamp.


She departed this life on June 9, 2024, and was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Springfield Jr.; and daughter, Janice Delores Robinson;


Altamese leaves to mourn her passing children, Charles Springfield (Sharon), Glen Gary Springfield, Beverly Springfield, Angela Smith (Leroy Jr. and Laquanda D. Rehkamp; grandchildren, Jovan Sr., Latarsha Charlotte (Freddie), Myrick, Patrice, Jeremiah, Edward Jr., Allsion, Brandon, Amira, Wayne, Daymon, Shakeria, Janesha, Shelear; 22 great-grandchildren; 1 great great grandchildren, Kaleb; 3 sisters, Dorothy Barbary, Shirley Tramel (Larry), Eva Marie Sampson (Andrew); Best friend, Joann Johnson; God daughters, Darleen Harris and Earth Lee Deas; God sons, Andre and Bryan; and a host of relatives and friends.
