Russell S Phelps, 82, a lifelong resident of Pasadena, Maryland, died on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at his residence.

He was born on Tuesday, December 9th, 1941 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Melvin R and Ella Mae Phelps. Mr. Phelps served honorably in the US Marine Corp. He was later employed the Department of Natural Resources, retiring in 2000 after 27.5 years of service. He was a member of the Retired Officers Association and the King David Masonic Lodge. In his free time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, crabbing, and gardening, but most of all he loved being Pop-Pop.
Mr. Phelps is survived by his wife of 60 years, Nancy L. Phelps; his children Michael R Phelps (Bonnie), and Laura Lee (Steven); his brother David M Phelps; his grandchildren Jaclyn and Matthew Phelps, Zachary and Cody Michaels, and Camden Watts.

Family and friends may visit from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at Stallings Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church on Wednesday at 10:00 am. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park.
