Steven Dixon Bridges Obituary

Steven Dixon Bridges, 75, of Fort Smith passed away on Saturday June 8, 2024 in Fort Smith. He was born June 18, 1948 in Fort Smith to Dixon and Wanda Marie (Moore) Bridges. Steve retired as a Chief Master Sergeant from the 188th Arkansas Air National Guard where he served as a contracting supervisor. He was a member of South 46th Street Church of Christ, a very active member of the Westark Council of the Boys Scouts of America and a member of the Purchasing Management Association.

He is survived by his wife LaJuan of the home; two daughters, Krista Buie and her husband Tom and Kerrie Ganes and her husband Jeremy both of Fort Smith; one brother, David Bridges and his wife Sharon of Little rock; three grandchildren, Brandon Ganes, Aaron Bridges and Hannah Ganes.

Graveside funeral service will be 10:00 AM Thursday June 13, 2024 at U.S. National Cemetery with full military honors provided by the 188th Air National Guard Honors Team under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith.

The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
