Mary J. Raber 81, of 4490 TR 156, Millersburg, passed away at her residence surrounded by her family on Saturday, June 8, 2024 following a 2-year battle with cancer.


She was born on November 27, 1942 to the late John B. and Ada (Yoder) Kurtz. On October 4, 1962 she married Andrew E. Raber who preceded her in death on July 23, 2003.


Mary was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.


She is survived by her children, Ben (Sarie) Raber of Becks Mills, Aden (Mary Ann) Raber of Houstonville, KY, Erma (Ivan) Miller of Danville, Lovina Raber and Ada Raber both of the home, and Verna (Henry) Miller of Apple Creek; 21 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Verna (late Eli) Raber of Baltic, Betty (Jonas) Yoder of Millersburg, Andy (Susan) Kurtz of LaGrange, IN, Ben (Lizzie) Kurtz of Navarre; brother-in-law, John (late Barbara) Yoder of Millersburg; and sister-in-law, Mattie Raber of Millersburg.


In addition to her parents and her husband Andrew, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Wilma Raber; great-grandson, Moses Yoder; sister, Barbara Yoder; sister-in-law, Susie Ellen Kurtz; and brother-in-law, Eli Raber.


Funeral services will be held at the home on Tuesday, June 11, at 9:00 AM with Bishop Matt Yoder officiating. Burial will follow in the Yoder Cemetery. Friends may call at the home after 2 PM on Sunday and any time on Monday.
