Terese M. Kinney Obituary

Terese M. Kinney, age 72, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning June 8, 2024, after a very long battle with Multiple Sclerosis.

To say she has been a Warrior is an understatement.  Through all the peaks and valleys, she always had a smile on her face, taking all the obstacles in stride.

Born on January 9, 1952, in Toledo, Ohio. Terry was the daughter of John & Kathryn Roesner. She was a graduate of Notre Dame Academy where she excelled in academics as well as extracurricular activities.

Terry met Jim, her greatest love later in life (1995) and the two hit it off from the very beginning, marrying in 2002. Jim and Terry spent most of their active days “Up North” in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, De Tour Village. They enjoyed the outdoors, snowmobiling and just being together. Terry & Jim took many road-trips to see family and their grandchildren. Those adventures took them to Allen Park Michigan, Columbus Ohio and as far as Dallas Texas.

Terry is survived by her two loving brothers: John Roesner (Rosemary) and Tom Roesner (Dee).

Terry has 3 children: Arlene Maggiano (D.J.) of Plano, Texas. Jeff Helvey (Jennifer) of Columbus, OH and Todd Helvey (Amanda) of Allen Park, MI.

Her Grandchildren include Tyler, Morgan, Michael, Cody, Caitlin, Gage and Zack plus three great-grandchildren William, Warren and Alaya.

The Family will receive friends and family on Wednesday June 12, 2024, for a viewing from 10:00-11:00am at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church 2240 Castlewood Dr Toledo, OH 43613, with a Funeral Mass at 11:00am. There will be a luncheon reception to follow and no service at the gravesite.
