Brandon Jair Cassidy, 45, of Palmyra, MO passed away at 2:21 PM, Friday, June 7, 2024, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.


A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, June 29, 2024, at the Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel in Palmyra, MO. Father Mike Quinn will officiate. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Palmyra, MO.


Friends and Family are invited to Brandon's Life Celebration at a visitation that will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM, Saturday, June 29, 2024, at the funeral home.


Brandon was born November 14, 1978, in Hannibal, MO to Michael T. and Sheila Marie Green Cassidy.


Survivors include his Father, Michael T. Cassidy of Palmyra, MO, Mother, Sheila Marie Green Gantt of Independence, MO, Brother, Michael T. Cassidy Jr. (Rhonda) of Hannibal, MO, Sister, Tramaine Cassidy Dean (Shaylyn) of Independence, MO, a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces Aaliyah Dean and Braylyn Dean, Nephew, Jahwaun Cassidy and a Special Friend who was at his side.


Brandon was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Titus and Bernice Cassidy and George and Katherine Green, and Uncle Monte Cassidy.


A skilled painter and fabricator, Brandon honed his talents at Port Industries and Cassidy Auto Body, where his work was not just a job but a canvas for his artistry.


Brandon's passion for flight was evident in his love for piloting drones, capturing breathtaking video footage, and taking still photos that reflected his keen eye for beauty. A self-taught master craftsman, he found solace in his workshop, where he meticulously worked on motorcycles, cars, and unique creation his mind would think of. His peaceful moments were often spent in the shop, immersed in his projects.


A former outstanding high school track athlete where he broke records for hurdling, Brandon also channeled his energy into racing Motorcross, showcasing his competitive spirit and physical prowess. In his down time, he could be found enjoying one of his favorite foods, maid rites at the Quincy Maid Rite Stand. Described as formidable, kind, and creative, Brandon's memory will be cherished by all who knew him, as a man who found joy in the details and left his mark on the world through his hands and heart.


Brandon was a Christian by faith and accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior on May26,2024 by way of Baptism.


Memorial contributions may be made to Blessing Cancer Center in Hannibal, MO.


Honorary pallbearers will be Shaylyn Dean, Patrick Ivey, Jahwaun Cassidy, Scott Murphy, Justin Crane, Mark A. Howard, Vince Green, and John Green.
