Mitchell Ezekiel Chandler Obituary

Mitchell Ezekiel Chandler, 65, of Asheville, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 7th 2024.


Born in Asheville, he was the son of Patricia Norton Chandler and the late Henry Chandler. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ricky Chandler. He was a wonderful husband, father, pap and man of God. Mitchell retired from Borg Warner and was an Electrical Contractor for 38 years. He attended AB-Tech for HVAC, coding and electronic courses. Mitchell was a faithful member and deacon at Jonestown FWB Church for many years. Mitchell loved his family and would make a point to tell them that he loved and appreciated them, most times with a hug. Mitchell had a kind heart and wonderful sense of humor. He was known for his inquisitive nature and loved to play guitar and listen to music. He was infamous for his homemade caramel cakes and fudge. He was clever and full of knowledge gained through all of his life experiences.


In addition to his mother, he is survived by his beloved wife Debbie, of Asheville, son, Tyler (Cleo); grandchildren, Thomas and Isabelle of Pensacola, FL; brother, Gary (Vanessa) of Weaverville and sister, Alicia (Jamie) of Weaverville; sister-in-law Cathy (Danny) Causey of Fletcher; nieces Courtney Bullman (Evan), Hope and Faith Chandler, and nephews Dylan Bullman, Geoffrey (Brittany) Chandler, and Michael (Sonya) Chandler, several great nieces and nephews, and many special cousins who were like siblings.


A celebration of life will be held at 4 pm at Madison Funeral Home on Monday, June 10th and the family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. prior to the service.


In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to his wife for medical expenses.
