William "Bill" J. Becker, III, 77, of Irwin, passed away Friday, June 7, 2024, at Hempfield Manor. He was born March 22, 1947, in McKeesport, to the late William Joseph Becker II and Rose (Crawford) Becker. Bill served his country as a member of the U.S. Navy. He worked as a Safety Manager for Bettis Atomic in West Mifflin, PA. He enjoyed golfing, playing cards and cruise line vacationing. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie A. (Deliman) Becker; and a brother-in-law, Edward Eckman. Bill is survived by a daughter, Shannon Foust and her husband, Brian, of Irwin; a son, Patrick Becker and his wife, Katie, of Bellbrook, Ohio; a grandson, Zackary Becker and his wife, Holly, of Kingston, Tenn.; two great grandchildren, Kylie Becker and Noa Grace Becker; three siblings, Rose Eckman of Hunker, PA; Frank Becker and his wife, Shelia, of Buckhannon, WV; and Paul Becker of White Oak, PA; several brothers-in-law and-sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins; as well as his dog Gemma. Family and friends will be received on Monday, June 10, 2024, from 3-8 PM in the Ott Funeral Home Inc., 805 Pennsylvania Ave., Irwin 724-863-8900. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at the funeral home with Pastor Joe O’Brien officiating. Military honors will be rendered in the funeral home following the funeral service by the VFW Post 781 Veteran’s honors group.
