Carol Anne Hamilton Obituary

Carol was born in Kansas City, Ks. on May 25,1949 and passed away at the age of 75 on June 3,2024 in her home in Kansas City, Ks. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years at the time of his passing James Hamilton. Also preceding her are both parents Arthur and Mabel Mock, 2 brothers Jack and Gary Mock, 1 sister Jo Ann. Carol was born the seventh of nine children.

She is survived by both of her children, Tim Hamilton married to Kym, Vicki Lanning married to Kevin. She has five grandchildren Jordan Provo, Bryan Lanning married to Courtney, Shaunie Lanning, Emilee Hamilton and Aiden Hamilton. One Great Grandchild Owen Lanning and her Grandpuppy Sassy. Also surviving Carol is 3 sisters and 2 brothers, Mae (Jack) Moore, Kathy (Ted) Bunch, Richard (Janice) Mock, Dan (Christine) Mock and Deborah (Mark) Wilcox.

Carol spent her life working in accounts receivable for grocery stores and some trucking companies. She enjoyed her jobs that she had to provide for her family and teach her kids about a good work ethic. She believed that you had to work hard to get what you want. When she wasn’t working, she liked to spend time with her family, watching the Chiefs or Royals or sneaking away to the casino where she loved the slots.

She had a heart bigger than anyone else, if you needed anything she would try and find a way to help you out. She was always there for support, if it was a sporting event, band concert or even if you just needed to talk out a problem she was there to listen. She spent the last 18 years of her marriage caring for her husband while at the same time dealing with her own health issues. At the time of her passing she had loved ones around her throughout the day and I believe that she knew how much everyone loved and will miss her.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
