Joseph Jonathan Guy Wiseman Obituary

Joseph Jonathan Guy Wiseman, 36, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 29, in Edmonton, Alberta.

He sadly died of an overdose. Although Jonathan was a strong man, his addiction was stronger. We want to share his story in hope that lives will be saved, and his death will not be in vain. Addiction is a mental illness and needs to be addressed. He overcame many difficult battles, had an honorable ability to get up and keep going. His exuberant liveliness is forever inspiring. No matter what Jonathan went through, he still managed to crack a joke and keep his contagious smile.

He will be remembered by his humor, big heart, strength, and ability to forgive and forget. Jonathan is survived by his mother, Monique Berube, father, Yves Wiseman, partner, Morena Novoa, daughters, Layla and Sierra Wiseman, brother, Dylon Wiseman, and sisters, Bella and Erynn Kiffiak, Predeceased stepfather, Harvey Kiffiak.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Mental Health Foundation of Alberta. Mental Health Help Line of Alberta 1-887-303-2642

Gone, but never forgotten.
