John Anderson Obituary

John Anderson, 65, of Valley Park, passed away on June 5, 2024 surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born in Kennett, Missouri on March 2, 1959 to the late Clyde M. Anderson and the Late Mary E. (DeRousse) Anderson.

As a kid John enjoyed playing outside, riding his bike, chasing girls, (harassing his sisters, I’m sure), and finding mischief to get into wherever he could. As a young man, he was still chasing girls. The cause of most mischief, but also liked to work on cars while listening to good music and cracking a few jokes. Once John became a family man, he was chasing his own two beautiful girls who were causing their own mischief. (The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, they say). He also loved fishing, hunting, and family gatherings. John was a very talented cement finisher who was great at his craft. Near his end, he slowed down chasing girls and causing mischief, but neither were ever far away. (Just ask his best buddy Jim). John would spend most of his time sitting outside relaxing, listening to music. John lived a LIFE, that’s for sure! But he was a man who would go out of his way to help anyone he could and give them the shirt off of his back. One thing that is not questionable is the love he had for his family, his daughters, and his grand babies.

Those remaining to cherish his memory are his daughters, Christina Iyayi, Teressa Huskey (James); brothers, Tim Anderson, David Anderson, and Joel Anderson; sisters, Deborah March, Rebecca Bode; grandchildren Kayla Huskey (Jon Holder), Katlyn Huskey (Bryan Haintel), and one great grandchild, a handsome new baby boy, Kade Maddox Holder.

John was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Ruth Norman.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 12:00 pm at 146 Quinwood Ave, Valley Park, Mo 63088.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests plants or memorial donations to the family for funeral expenses, c/o Maupin Funeral Home, 301 Douglas Blvd, Fulton, MO 65251.
