Evelyn Deloris Brown, 92, of Hagerstown, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2024.

Born May 10, 1932 in Minot, North Dakota, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd Ellsworth Englar and Etta Rose Lindgren Englar.

Evelyn was a pastor’s wife, a teacher, and a homemaker. She graduated from St. Paul's Bible Institute with a bachelor’s degree in music. She was the First Lady of Bethel Assembly of God and was involved in Ministry for 67 years.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Reverend Arnold F. Brown, whom she married on November 10, 1956; son, Randyl D. (Gayle) Brown; daughters, Cheryl S. (Don) Wilson, Lauryl L. Brown-Lewis, Julie K. (Jim) Bungard, and Christy D. (Ken) Wright; 13 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; brother, Donald Englar; and sister, Connie Englar.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Rylee Spears; son-in law, Don Wilson; and two sisters, Doris Rhode and Carol Torgerson

Family will receive friends Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at the Brown Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, June12, 2024 at the funeral home with Dr. Randyl Brown officiating.

Interment, which will be private, will be held at Cedar Lawn Cemetery.
