Robert Marrero Obituary

Robert Marrero, 64, of Irvington, NJ passed away Friday June 7, 2024. Born in Newark, Robert was the son of the late Lorenzo and Maria Rita Marrero . Robert was a jack of all trades. He was a steel worker in Carteret for many years but his passion was cooking, so he started catering many events for family, friends and his yearly love "Cancer Awareness Events" and for the Senior Citizens Residency. Robert also with gifted hands started car detailing that he mastered and loved. He loved to sing, dance, play dominoes, listen to old school music of all genres, draw, and tell the corniest jokes that made you laugh anyway. Most of all, Robert aka Tiny, was a "Love Defender". His unconditional objective daily was loving his wife Traci! He did just that for 23 and a half years. He lived to love and he loved to live. Most of all, he loved and came to know Jesus! He fought a good fight and gained his wings. He was and always will be the Gentle Giant known as "Tiny".

Robert is survived by his wife Traci Scott- Marrero, his step-children Chainah Williams Chonte' Bridges-Sane, Antonio Scott and Lee Bridges, his grandchildren Jayden, Antonio Jr., Zahir, Elijah, Sa'diamond, Elisa, Makaylah, Jordan, Xavier, Caleb, Jordyn, Alaynah, Malachi, Tyler, and Justice. His mother and father-in-law Verline and Walter Scott and brother-in-law Darnell Scott. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters Hector Marrero, Lucas Marrero, Migdalia Nieves, Ines Padilla, Elba Marrero, Lordes Marrero and his ying to his yang Jamie Martinez. He was predeceased by his siblings Lorenzo Marrero, Maria Marrero, Maribet Russonillo and Orlando Marrero. He was loved by a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
