Albert Eugene Taylor Jr. “Butch”, 68, of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, passed away on May 28, 2024, at his home. He was born October 28, 1955, in Mobile, Alabama, the son of Albert Eugene Taylor Sr. and Georgina Irene Rutledge Taylor. He was married to Robbin Elizabeth E. Beasley Taylor for 17 years. They had four children, Elizabeth Anne Taylor Wheeler, Elesha Irene McIntosh, Albert Eugene Taylor III, and George Arthur Taylor.


“Butch” attended Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School in Indianapolis, Indiana, where he was an athlete on the track and field team. He later obtained his ministerial license and was a minister and pastor of the United Pentecostal Church International where he led many to Christ. He preached in prisons, nursing homes, and to the homeless. He also worked for Townsend Tree Service in Indiana. While he and his family lived in Mississippi, he was a successful insurance salesman for the Mississippi District.


He enjoyed playing basketball, billiards, hunting, fishing, camping, and any outdoor activities. He will be remembered for his contagious personality, his witty smile, and his genuine love for people. He was always available to help anyone he could that was in need.


He is survived by his four children, Elizabeth Anne Taylor Wheeler, Elesha Irene McIntosh (Jason), Albert Eugene Taylor III (Brooke), and George Authur Taylor.


Also surviving are his three sisters, Sharena Ann Taylor, Patsy Williams, and Linda Williams; five brothers, Herbert Williams, Donald Williams, Nathan Taylor, Jon “JT” Taylor, and Aubrey Taylor; and eight grandchildren, Benjamin, Elijah, Caleb, Josiah, Simeon, Nichole, Alexis, and Thalen.


He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Eugene Taylor Sr. and his mother, Georgina Irene Rutledge Williams.


Funeral Services will be held on June 17, 2024, 1:30 p.m. at Barnes and Rice Funeral Home, 111 East High Street, Rockville, Indiana, with Pastor Robert McFarland officiating. Visitation will be on June 17, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Beacon Hill Cemetery, south of Rockville.
