Thomasina E. Morrison Jennings Obituary

Thomasina “Sina” Morrison Jennings, a lifelong resident of Newburgh, entered into rest on June 4, 2024 at the Kaplan Family Hospice Residence. She was 76 years old.


Thomasina was born in Newburgh on June 5, 1947 the daughter of the late Thomas Morrison and Gladys Boyd Morrison Singleton. She loved playing cards with her family and traveling. Sina loved bingo and was an avid player for many years. She also enjoyed music, especially Whitney Houston, Reggae and Old School R & B and watching her soap operas.


Sina is survived by her husband, Dinsdale Codling; her 5 siblings, Tonia Hernandez, David Owens, Anna Owens-Chambers, Donnell Morrison and Dawn Morrison; her many nieces, nephews and cousins and extended family.


In addition to her parents, Sina was predeceased by her brother, Jan Owens and her sister, Dr. Francine Morrison.


Family and friends will gather on Monday, June 17 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Riverview Funeral Home by Halvey, 2 Beekman Street, Beacon. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 12 p.m. Burial will follow in the family plot at Woodlawn Cemetery, 93 Union Avenue, New Windsor.
