Wanda Jean Bates Obituary

Wanda Bates, 87, of Jessieville, Arkansas passed away June 6, 2024. She was born January 19, 1937 in Mt. Pine, Arkansas, to Dillard and Stella (Neal) Anderson.


Wanda enjoyed reading her favorite author, Louis L'Amour, crocheting doilies, spending time in the garden with her flowers and preserving her vegetables.


She loved cooking for family and friends, or anyone that might happen to stop by their hilltop that might be lost or even to repair the phone.


Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, son; Jerry Ray Bates; brothers,Van Avery Anderson, Paul Howard Anderson; sister, Frankie Louise Anderson Lambert.


Survivors include her husband loving husband of 70 years, John Bates; daughter Connie (Richard) Pearce; daughter-in-law, Donna Jean Bates; grandchildren, Clifton (Angel) Pearce, Jonathon (Trina) Bates, Chris (Benita) Pearce, Jason (Pam) Bates, Cameron (Kimberly) Pearce, great-grandchildren, Kailee, John and Rebel, Joshua, Zanlynn, Zander, and Olyvia


Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.Monday at Caruth Village Funeral Home.


Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m Tuesday at Rock Springs Cemetery in Jessieville AR. with Bro. Johnny Bratton officiating.


The family wishes to extend a special thank you to NPMC care team and Arkansas Hospice.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Jackson House.
