Mary Courter Obituary

Mary Generotti Courter, age 60, of Chester Springs, PA, passed away peacefully in her family home on Monday, June 3, 2024 with her family at her side. Mary was born September 12, 1963 to her parents, Elizabeth and Elmer Generotti, Jr., and spent her childhood in Jessup, PA. She attended Valley View School District and excelled in her studies and athletics. She received a Bachelor of Sciences degree from her beloved Penn State--We Are … After graduation, Mary worked for various medical systems businesses and later for Infor Workforce Management and advanced herself to management positions and was a certified Project Manager.

At 18, Mary met the man of her dreams at Penn State, Jeffrey Courter, and enjoyed 35 years of marriage. They had two beautiful children, Jake Courter, and Taylor Courter.

Mary would light up a room with her constant beautiful smile. She laughed at every joke her husband, Jeff, told and enjoyed her children through all phases of their lives. Her home is filled with pictures of her family and friends from holidays, vacations, Penn State games, and just having fun. She volunteered her time for causes that were important to her. She had a passion for reading, crafting, music, casinos, and so much more. She was a true supportive friend to others and always enjoyed the time they spent together--PSU games, traveling, or just “hanging out.” Mary didn’t sit still, always planning her next trip, concert, or family get-togethers.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Elmer Generotti, Plantation Fl. Mary is survived by her adoring husband, Jeff; and their children, son, Jake, and daughter Taylor. Also surviving are her sister, Rebecca Generotti Drazdowski and husband, Thomas, Mountain Top, PA; her brothers, Bruce Generotti and wife, Linda, Ocean City, NJ; Allan Generotti and wife Susan, Franklin, TN; her sister-in-law, Debra Generotti, Plantation, FL; and her cousins and godparents, Joseph Loftus-Vergari and Elizabeth Marcinkevich. She will also be greatly missed by numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
