Mildred Alice (Hobbs) Krenn passed away peacefully on June 5, 2024, at the age of 92 at her home placement Serenity Living “A Touch of Home” in Marshfield, WI.

Deacon Ray Draeger will officiate the memorial service which will be held at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Brooklawn Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Millie was born on May 30th, 1932, to Archie James Hobbs and Dora Belle (Wolf) Duprey in Fond Du Lac, WI. She graduated from Goodrich High School. Mildred worked at Infant Socks in Fond Du Lac, when about that time met her husband, Fred.

Mildred and Fred were married on January 20th, 1951, at the United Methodist Church in Fond Du Lac, WI. She was secretary for Fred’s construction business called “Quality Builders” from 1956-1959, later “Fox & Krenn” Construction Company. She was a hands-on helper in contributing with making the homes, participating in staining the doors, windows, or painting rooms. She was part of the ‘crew’ with an extra pair of hands in whatever was needed to get the job done.

They lived in the city of Fond Du Lac for several years until they purchased a hobby farm in the rural area of Van Dyne. There they raised dairy animals, horses, and poultry. Millie absolutely loved farming. They moved to a farm near Pittsville (Lindsey) WI. to be closer to her aging father.

Final retirement was decided in 1992, selling their farm and moving to a farmhouse in Chili, WI, which they helped to renovate for and with their daughter Joey and son-in-law Ray. Loving the home and area, they moved into the home. As their health declined, they moved into Ray and Joey’s home in Chili then Marshfield, to be near the Marshfield Medical Center with Joey and Ray as their primary caregivers.

Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; son, Dennis of Green Bay; her parents; one brother, Milton Hobbs of AZ; Violet Schallock of IL; Audrey Ullrich of IL; and Lillian Titone of AZ.

Mildred is survived by a sister, Carol Brester of Redgranite; her children, Darcy (Sue) of Marshfield, Jo Ann (Ray) Draeger of Marshfield. Grandchildren: Isaiah Draeger, Angie Brusky, Jason Krenn, Amy Loos, Justin Krenn, Amanda Kraus; and many great-grandchildren. Mildred will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

The family wishes to thank all the staff at Serenity Living and Inclusa for making Millie happy, loved, and cared for during her stay there.
