Nola Z. Kidder Braud Obituary

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Nola Z. Kidder Braud, age, 92, who passed away on Friday, June 7, 2024 at Courtyard Manor Nursing Home in Lafayette.


Interment will be held in Calvary Cemetery in Lafayette .


Reverend Howard Blessing, will officiate at the services.


Survivors include, three sons, Ronald J. Kidder and his wife, Mary of Lafayette, Robert C. Kidder, Sr. and his wife, Charlene of Lafayette and Carl J. Kidder of Lafayette; one daughter-in-law, Sarah Kidder; ten grandchildren, Gabriel Kidder, Shannon Credeur, Colby Kidder, Trevor Kidder, Robert C. Kidder, Jr., Blake Kidder, Holly Kidder, Max Kidder, Brooks Kidder, and Courtney Jennings; twenty one great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Kidder, her second husband, Bentz Charles Braud; one son, Michael Ray Kidder; her parents, Abel and Della Lanclos Zerangue; four sisters, Eula Courville, Vergie Cope, Shirley Jeansonne, and Earline Lanclos; two brothers, Oscar Zerangue and Abel Zerangue, Jr.


Nola Z. Kidder Braud, a beloved soul, left this world with a heart full of love and devotion. She cherished the simple joys of life: camping, cooking, fishing, sewing, and traveling. Her happiest moments were spent at family gatherings, surrounded by those she loved dearly. Nola's garden was her sanctuary, where she tended her flowers and fed the birds with care.


A gracious hostess, she loved to entertain, filling her home with warmth and laughter. Her faith was her guiding light, and she was a devoted Catholic, finding peace in prayer and the rosary. Nola's legacy of love, faith, and joy will forever be cherished by her family and friends.


Pallbearers will be Robert Kidder, Jr., Gabe Kidder, Trevor Kidder, Max Kidder, Luke Kilchrist, and Cameron Kidder.


A Rosary will be recited by Brady LeBlanc on Tuesday at 1:00 P.M. in Martin & Castille's DOWNTOWN Location.


The family requests that visitation be observed on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until time of services.


The Kidder family would like to give special thanks to Lamm Hospice and Courtyard Manor for the love they provided to Nola in her time of need.
