Theresa Laura Coltman Obituary

COLTMAN, Theresa Laura – It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Theresa (Terry) on June 1, 2024 at Hastings Manor just days shy of her 86th birthday.

Theresa was the cherished daughter of the late Walter and Clara Kieswetter and a dear sister of Ray (Judy) Kieswetter. She was predeceased by her brother, Charles Kieswetter.

She shared a beautiful life with her late husband, Herb Coltman, and was a very devoted and loving mother to Patti Broekema and Darrell Coltman (Aleta). She was also a mother-in-law to the late Karen Coltman.

Theresa, affectionately known as Nan, will be deeply missed by her grandchildren: Melanie, Jeff, Sara, Nicole and Troy and also her three great grandsons: Brady, Hendrik and Ollie. Her grandchildren brought her immense joy and kept her very busy with their numerous activities, including figure skating, dance recitals, modeling shows, hockey, ball hockey, soccer, football, basketball, rugby and softball games.

Theresa’s life was one of service and love. She worked as a registered nurse for over 30 years and was also a very successful business owner for 15 years of Sunshine Plus Tanning Salon.

Her passions included animals, playing golf, doing Sudoku/crosswords and spending time with her many friends and family.

A private interment will be held on June 11th at the Niche Wall, Belleville Cemetery.  The family would welcome you to share memories of Terry and send condolences through the Steele Funeral Home website.

The family would like to thank the amazing staff working on the Pine Villa Unit at Hastings Manor.
