Tahjmir Quamir Mikey Seeney Obituary

Tahjmir Quamir Mikey Seeney, best known as ”Tahj”, passed away on Tuesday, May 28,2024 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown, PA. He was born on July 30,2005 at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.

Tahj loved riding and fixing bikes. Tajh and a close friend of his even created a blueprint for a bike park that was an addition to the many goals he wanted to accomplish. He was a motivated, dedicated, inspirational, loving, helpful and hilarious son, brother, cousin, nephew, uncle, grandson and friend. He was loved and supported by many. As a young boy, he helped people with groceries and pumped gas. He always found a positive way to spend his time to help the people in the community while also earning money that helped him learn and practice financial literacy.  As an older teen, he assisted his sister, Shunta, with her YouTube channel by doing memorable pranks on and with their mother Lakiesha. Tahj portrayed how these characteristics and attributes fitted him perfectly. He will truly be loved and missed.

On May 24,2024 Tahjmir graduated from Greater Johnstown High School. He received his OSHA card in Welding along with his certification. He was set to attend the Commonwealth Technical Institute at the Hiram G. Andrew’s Center for welding and building maintenance. He was also offered a full time job for welding and completing many other job duties within that field. He was building a legacy and with the continuous support from family, friends and many more, his legacy WILL live on.

Tahjmir is preceded in death by his stepfather Kevin Gettys.

Tajmir was loved by a host of aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins, nieces and nephews from the Gettys family bloodline.

Tahjmir leaves to cherish his memory, his mother Lakeisha, his sister Shunta, his brother Shamir, his grandmother Helen, his aunts; Phliesha, Jacklyn and Marie, his uncles Jack Jr and Tyreek, his cousins Jazzlyn,  Avion, Kimia,Ny’Asia, Zakira, and Amia, his best friend Tucker, friends, teachers and staff of the Greater Johnstown High School and a long list of extended family, friends, and supporters.

To the teachers and staff of Greater Johnstown High school:

We, the family, appreciate each and everyone of you for guiding Tahjmir towards all the right paths in his schooling.  You all molded, shaped and led him to having a bright future. With deep appreciation and gratitude we thank you for being a positive and supportive addition to his support system and we will forever be grateful.
