Dorothy Laverne Golden, 81, of Mansfield, Arkansas, passed from this life on June 5, 2024. She was born in East Prairie, Missouri, to Leslie and Nona (Hamby) Hartwell on May 10, 1943.

Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, as well as a homemaker who dedicated her life to caring for her family. She was a member of the Fort Smith Church of God, and she enjoyed spending time at the Mansfield Senior Center.

Dorothy is survived by her 4 children: Steve Golden of Mansfield, Arkansas, Gary Golden of Mansfield, Arkansas, Tony Golden of Mansfield, Arkansas, and Raymond Golden of Fort Smith, Arkansas; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Sharon Hartwell of Salem, Oregon; and 1 brother, Jerry Hartwell of Mansfield, Arkansas.

She is preceded in death by her husband, David Golden, and her parents, Leslie and Nona Hartwell.

A private service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to St. Jude Hospital in Dorothy’s name.
