Tracy Lynn Brock was born on the 27th of March, 1953 in Arkansas City, Kansas. She is the 4th and last child of Harry Brock and Frankie Hughes. On The 27th of December, 1971 She married Harry Stamps in the Logan Utah temple of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Not long after that, she became a military wife. She moved often in the early years of her marriage, ending up where she started, back in Kansas. Tracy’s membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has always been important to her. She joined the church when she was 12 and began a life of service to her Heavenly Father. She has served in primary and in the Relief Society. She worked in Cub Scouts too, but the service she loved most was working with primary children. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, sewing, and ceramics and glass works. As well as going to garage sales and playing dice and card games.
Tracy has always had health issues. Three times, early in their marriage, she was with child, but poor health prevented that from happening. Then in 1980 their first child was born. A girl. She was given the name Rebekah Ann. Then, in 1982, a son was born. Bryan Christopher. And finally, in 1983, Tiffany Nicole was born. Following Tiffany’s birth, her health deteriorated, preventing any more children. Her health took a turn for the worse in the late 1980’s when she was diagnosed with her first cancer. It was extremely difficult, but she beat it. Again, in the mid 90’s she was diagnosed a second time with cancer, and she beat it. She went almost 25 years before her third cancer. In 2022, she was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer which eventually spread throughout her body. This time the cancer would win. She passed away quietly on the 5th of June 2024 surrounded by her family.
Tracy was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Frankie Brock and is survived by her husband of 52 years, Harry Stamps, as well as her children and their families: Rebekah and Shawn Lehman with their 2 children, Carah and McKenzie. Bryan and Jenny Stamps and their children Olivia, Conor, and Lily, and Tiffany and Chad Schuetz, and their children Ashton, Preston, and Adilynn. She is also survived by two brothers, Donald Brock and Harry Brock, as well as her sister, Rosanna Hall. Her greatest desire was that her children and grandchildren know how much she loves our Savior, Jesus Christ, and because of His gospel, families can be together forever.
