It is with great sadness the family of Muriel “Janet” Vatcher announce her peaceful passing at James Paton Memorial Hospital on June 6th, 2024.
Predeceased by her husband, Tom; daughter Jeanie; daughter-in-law Wanda; son-in-law Carl; her parents and her siblings. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children Allan (Millicent), Louise (Mike), Anthony (Clara), Melvin (Elizabeth), Gilbert, Edith, Harold (Catherine), Don, Joyce (John), Frank (Michelle), Mary (Gord), Tommy (Gail), Garland (Tammy), Clarence (Juanita); a large circle of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Janet dearly loved her family, both immediate and extended. She would light up with a smile when you came to visit and she never complained about how long or short the visit was, or the length of time between visits. Music would get her hands clapping, feet tapping, and she would often sing along. Even during her final days, she found strength to sing.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Paulus and the staff at the Medical Unit in James Paton Memorial Hospital for the wonderful care they provided. Your kindness was appreciated and will always be remembered.
In lieu of flowers, anyone wishing can make a donation to St. Stephen's Anglican Church, or The Alzheimer Society.
