Mark Alan Brunson

ALCOLU – Mark Alan Brunson, 56, died Sunday, July 29, 2018, at MUSC in Charleston. Born December 16, 1961, in Manning, he was a son of the late James Wesly Brunson and the late Lois Loretta Hodge Brunson. He was a member of Sardinia Presbyterian Church. He is survived by a son, Mark Alan Brunson, Jr.; a daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Miles (Dawayne), both of Alcolu; a sister, Sandra Brunson Edens (Hank) of Dalzell; a sister-in-law, Kathy Brunson of Manning; and two grandchildren, Savanna and Brantley Brunson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Wesley Brunson; and a granddaughter, Mattalyn Grace Miles. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at Brunson Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Jolly officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service at the residence, 9625 N. Brewington Road, Alcolu. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Stephens Funeral Home to help the family with funeral expenses. Stephens Funeral Home & Crematory, 304 N.
