Leineke, Donald Ray “Ike”, age 74, of Clare, passed away on Wednesday, May 22,, 2024 at Pioneer Golden Estates in the company of his sisters and daughters.


A celebration of Donald’s life will take place at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on June 8, 2024, at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends at 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.


Donald was born to Donald and Dortha (Thompson) Leineke on Friday, October 21, 1949, in Flint, MI.


Donald was a man of great character, exemplifying quiet strength, patience, humility, and kindness. He was a devoted brother, father, grandfather, and friend, who led by example. He proudly served our country as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps.


Donald married the love of his life, Priscilla (Fockler), on December 21, 1984. He dedicated his life to providing for his family, working 35 years as a pipefitter for UA Local 85.


Donald loved to be outside gardening, fishing, and camping. He was a devoted U of M and Tiger’s fan.


Donald is survived by his daughters, Jessica Lynch (Allen Near) and Nicole Leineke (Ryan Kennedy); grandchildren, Guinevere, Jade, Timothy, Nola, Atlas, and Ronan; brothers, Bill (Janet) Leineke and Jim Walker; sisters, Gloria (Dan) Sponseller and Brenda Leineke-Falsetta; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.


Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Priscilla, parents; brothers, Jerry Leineke and Bobby Leineke; and sister, Joyce Leineke.
