Virginia Belle Ball Obituary

Virginia Belle Ball, 89, of Quincy, went to be with the Lord with family by her side on Sunday, January 22, 2017. She was born February 6, 1927 in Montgomery, Michigan to Olen and Sarah (Lake) Benjamin. Virginia married Donald Ball on June 2, 1946 and he preceded her in death in 2009. She was a 1944 graduate of Quincy High School. Virginia was a Librarian at the Quincy Elementary School and a part time farmer raising polled cattle. She was a member of the Quincy United Methodist Church and had been a Den Mother for Cub scouts Virginia is survived by her sons, Donald (Sally) Ball of Coldwater, Robert (Denise) Ball of Rantoul, IL, Kenneth (Terri) Ball and Joseph (Michele) Ball both of Quincy; step daughter, Edith Patterson of Quincy; many grandchildren and great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. Besides her husband Donald, Virginia was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robert Benjamin. Memorial Service will be Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Quincy with Pastor Julie Yoder Elmore officiating. Interment will take place at the California Corners Cemetery at a later date. The family will receive friends for visitation from 12:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Quincy United Methodist Church, Humane Society of Branch County and the Quincy Library.
