Sally Elizabeth Hatfield

Sally Elizabeth Hatfield, 78, of Pittsford, Michigan passed away Saturday, December 12, 2015, at Wellspring Lutheran Services in Monroe, Michigan. She was born on September 2, 1937, in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of Paul and Helen E. (Burns) Streeter. She married Jimmy Hatfield on November 28, 1952, in Ypsilanti, Michigan and he preceded her in death on February 19, 2011. Sally graduated from Washtenaw Community College with an Associates Degree in Business in 1981, and retired from the Chrysler Proving Grounds in Chelsea, Michigan in 1992. She enjoyed camping, building doll houses, gardening especially her flower beds, was an avid Detroit Tigers and University of Michigan fan and she dearly loved her family. Surviving Sally are two daughters, Cathryn (Rick) Scriven of Whittaker, Michigan, Mary Ann (Bruce) Wertenberger of Dundee, Michigan; four sons, David (Nicole) Hatfield of Pinkney, Michigan, Robert (Glenda) Hatfield of Cecil, Ohio, Steven Hatfield of Pittsford, Michigan and Donald (Denise) Hatfield of Saline, Michigan, 19 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Funeral services for Sally will be Wednesday December 16, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at Eagle Funeral Home in Hudson with Dr. Rev. Samuel Wickard officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Ransom Twp., Michigan. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may make memorial contributions to Compassionate Care Hospice or Wellspring Lutheran Services.
